I Want to Attend a Service Academy Because:

I have always felt that desire to serve my country. I remember sitting in the recruiting office with my 17 year old brother,I was about 5 years old. I sat in the waiting room staring up at all the pictures on the wall with all the men and women in uniform and I knew deep inside that this was what I was born to do. This nation is so great and so many youth don't take their education and patriotism seriously. I am a born leader and I will give up whatever it takes to serve my country and attending a service academy will be just the begining to a career that will benefit the well being of the greatest nation in the world.

About Me:

I am a fifteen year old Sophomore at Eagle Point High School in Eagle Point Oregon. I am an active member in the FFA, I am a volunteer at a retirement home, I am in the Civil Air Patrol, and I am a part of a family bussiness. I work out at the gym daily and I strictly diet to insure that I am in in complete health. I love to drive and listen to music. I enjoy every moment of my life and I plan on expanding my activities even further. I am far from where I want to be but I am well on my way. I have not been delt the greatest hand of cards but I make my own opportunites. My determination breaks down all obstacles.

Activities:

Civil Air Patrol,FFA, Heaven Scent Flowers,Eagle Cove Volunteer,ASPIRE,gym,Drama, TRIO, and more.

This spring will start the begining of Link Leadership,Track and hopefully National Honor Society.

My short term goal is to become C/2nd LT. of the Civil Air Patrol as soon as possible.

My long term goal is to become an Officer in the United States Air Force of either the Intelligence Department or the Aeronautics field.

I have not yet taken the SAT but I will be receiving the results for the PSAT soon.

GPA:

Currently I have no updated Unweighted GPA but I have good grades. I don't settle for B's.

I am officially Airman in CAP.

I got my promotion last night. It was so amazing. I'm already scheduled for my next promotion tests so Airman First class is well on its way. C/2nd Lt. here I come.

Even more changes.=]

Well...I'm going to make the weight loss process even more beneficial. I'm going vegitarian for now. No not because I don't beleive in eating animals,but because I feel that the protein I consume is lingering in my body for too long and and making the process harder. So for now it's all greens and goods. It's all worth it. I'm excited for it.

Airman...It's here.

Well...I passed the PT and leadership test and now all I have to do is go to the Promotion Board on Tues. so I can officially become Airman Basic. One step closer to C/2nd Lt. I'm working my way up and I'm having a ball. Thesemesteris finally over and I just found out that I have maintainedA'sin all of my classes so I am super proud of that.
Tommorow...I give tours of the KC-97 again so that'll be fun...The more CAP activities the better.

Going to hit the gym HARD tonight.

PT test.... PASSED!

I passed my first PT test this morning with CAP.
It was an amazing feeling having my peers around me cheering me on. At first the thought of a bunch of people(mainly males) watching me,sort of worried me but they are like family now.
I need to work on my sprints and PU form but I'm on my way. I am so thankful for this group.

we are doing the PT the marines use next time though...it's a lot tougher it's like 3 miles, and double the times for push ups and pull ups.
